Hello There 2018

Hello There 2018

Happy New Year!

Hope your celebrations whether quite loud or very low key were wonderful.

Here’s to a new year of growth; motherhood; kids; families and trying to figure just who the heck you are.

I have no sage words of wisdom to offer…

Except to embrace this year and to focus on having a positive outlook.

Me? I’ve got big plans…

I thought might try growing up.

New Year 2017

New Year 2017

Here we are in a new year!

It’s 2017! How amazing is that?

We survived…

Another year of parenting our beautiful children. The babies,  school agers, preteens and teenagers.

Tantrums, tears, runny noses, boo boos, rebellion, little spills, big messes, sibling fights and the temporary loss of your sanity…on a fairly consistent  basis.

We did it.

…and now we get to do it again for another year.

Stop crying and get a glass…I’ll get the wine.

Happy new year! 🙂

Hello…so I’m a little late!

Hello…so I’m a little late!

Hello? Anybody out there? Well…it’s almost the end of march in 2016 and I know I’ve been MIA for a while. I neglected to wish you a happy new year or even merry Christmas! What can I say? I have no excuse. I can only say that I let life get ahead of me for a while…
New house, new job, etc, etc.
Well, I hope to get back to a regular writing schedule soon. Not because life has all of a sudden gotten easier but because at some point I just gotta get over it already. So if there is anyone out there still reading this blog…Hi! How ya doin? I hope to be revamping the look of the blog very soon. Plus we need to catch up on my two lovely daughters and all of their antics. Why exactly did I think life would get any easier as they got older??? Maybe it was that glass of wine…or two…Ummm. ..never mind. Anyway…
Hope your holidays were great. Hope the new year has been kind to you and that you kicked your resolutions to the curb and not the other way around.

The Holidays

The Holidays

I hate wrapping gifts…
I love when my kids wake me up on Christmas morning so we can go down to open them.
I love the look on their faces when they see all of the presents under the tree.

I’m not fond of prepping for Christmas dinner…
I’m a big fan of getting together with family and friends;  eating good food and enjoying each other’s company.
I’m grateful for the laughter, warm hugs and kisses.

I really don’t like getting up early in the morning…
I like staying up late to ring in the New Year with my husband and the kids.
I love watching the girls struggle to stay awake and then fall asleep 15 mins before midnight.
I love kissing them and appreciating the blessing of seeing another year with them and calling my mom to say Happy New Year.

The holidays…

Well, it’s an hour until the New Year and here I sit in front of my laptop while my 2 tyrants…I mean lovely daughters watch yet another Disney show.

Yes, they should be sleeping.

No, I don’t know why they aren’t tired.

Me? Yes, I am very, very tired.

I really could sleep right through the ringing in of the New Year…

In fact, their D.D. is doing that right now!

Do you think he’d find it funny if he woke up with a little lip gloss and eye shadow???

Somehow I don’t think so.

I could blame the kids…

I have no shame.

Season’s Greetings!
